Training your dog should be a pleasure, not a chore!  Learn how to use positive reinforcement and management to create a well behaved canine companion. Teach your dog to SIT, LIE DOWN, walk politely on a leash and COME when called!  Introduce STAY and OFF.  Common problems such as jumping, barking and destructive chewing will be addressed.  Training methods are simple and effective!  An ORIENTATION without dogs must be attended prior to the start of Basic Manners I.
The class runs 6 weeks and costs $90. Dogs adopted from RCHS can attend Basic Manners I for only $75!

TRAINING METHODS

We use dog-friendly methods, relying on positive reinforcement and management to achieve our training goals. Our emphasis is on building a good relationship through consistency and reward. We like our students to have fun while training, but to make a serious commitment to the training process. The dogs are treated with respect and understanding of their breed tendencies. Owners are encouraged to be proud of their dog's individual triumphs!
